Born on 4th November 1953, he began his martial arts journey in 1973 and started teaching in 1978. Over the decades, he trained in several styles of Okinawan and Japanese Gojuryu Karatedo, Kudo, and Kobudo. His favorite martial arts were always full-contact disciplines where one can truly test and prove oneself — which is why he preferred MMA, KUDO, and Jujutsu.
Even at the age of 65, he firmly believed that one must train every single day without pause, for only through continuous practice does martial art become deeply rooted within oneself.
He held the ranks of 8th Degree Black Belt (Hanshi) in Gojuryu Karate and 4th Degree Black Belt in Kudo.
On 2nd October 2024, he passed away, leaving behind a lifetime dedicated to martial arts. He was honoured as the first Indian to be awarded the 10th Degree Red Belt posthumously, presented by Akshay Kumar and the World Kobudo Federation, Canada.
