Hanshi Mehul Vora started his initial training at the early age of 3 years and was awarded first degree black belt in Japanese Gojuryu Karate at the age of 16 years.

He has the honor of being a student of many seniors - International masters such as Jukucho Takashi Azuma 9th Degree Black Belt, Soke Takumi Nishi 10th degree Black Belt and Shihan Kazu lnoue 8th degree Black Belt. He is the foremost authority of the Israeli System of Military Self Defense Krav Maga in India.

He is supporting Akshay Kumar and Aaditya Thackeray in their initiative for training self defense to women in Mumbai. He is also serving as the Technical Director of the Akshay Kumar Kudo Tournament.

Mehul Vora is known as a celebrity trainer for having worked with Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapse Pannu, Kriti Sanon, Amy Jackson amongst others.

2025: 1st Indian Martial Artist to be included in the Forbes India Rich List 2025–26.
2025: Awarded 6th degree black belt by Global TAEKWONDO Association USA under Grandmaster Craig Baillette (9th degree black belt).

2024: Broke Guinness World Record with Akshay Kumar, Surat, Gujarat.

2024: Awarded 9th degree black belt in World Gojuryu Karatedo Association Watanabe Ha Japan by Soke Isoharu Watanabe.

2024: Appointed Hon. Secretary General of World Gojuryu Karatedo Association Watanabe Ha Japan.

2024: Completed 30 years of teaching Martial Arts.

2023: Lead Team India for Asia Cup.

2023: Broke Guinness World Record in Italy.

2023: Awarded 5th Degree black belt in Kudo by KIF Japan.

2022: Lead Team India for World Cup.

2016: Appointed Director of Kudo Asia.

2016: Awarded 8th degree black belt by Nihon Gojuryu Karatedo Koushikai Japan.

2014: Instrumental in formation of a free self-defense training institute for women with Akshay Kumar & Aditya Thackeray.

2012: Awarded 7th Degree black belt and title of Shoshihan by Hanshi Toyama, Zenshu 10th Degree black belt in Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate-Do Shinjikan.

2009: Organized the Largest Martial Arts Tournament for 10 years in a row – The Akshay Kumar Karate Championships (2009–2018).

2008: Given commendation letter by Honorable Al Gore, Vice-President of USA, for rescuing Americans during the Mumbai terrorist attacks on 26/11/2008.

2007: Awarded Khel-Ratna Puraskar by Hon. Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri R. R. Patil.

2005: Awarded the honor of the Katana by the 16th generation Grandmaster of Mugairyu, Shihan Kazo Inoue (Only Indian recipient).

2005: Trained the Special Operations Squad, Mumbai Police.

2005: Trained the Security Force of Mumbai Municipality (BMC).

2004: Choreographed Superstar Akshay Kumar and scripted “7 Deadly Arts” TV series for National Geographic Channel.

2004: Trained in the Israeli System of Military Self Defense under ex-IDF officers.

1999: Awarded Best Martial Arts Instructor of the Year by Dy. Commissioner of Mumbai Police Dr. I. P. Kalpatri.

1995: Men's Kata/Kumite National Gold Medalist below 55 kgs.
